KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Lumbini Chief Minister Leela Giri is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy today. Province Chief Amik Sherchan will administer the oath to him at 1PM.
Preparations have also been made for the formation of a three-member cabinet today. Jokh Bahadur Mahara, the leader of the parliamentary party of the Maoist Center, has said that they are preparing to form a cabinet with one minister each from the UML and the Maoist Center.

“Preparations have been made for the formation of a three-member cabinet today," he said, "Discussions are underway for that." On Wednesday, Province Chief Sherchan appointed UML’s Giri as the chief minister in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
At present, there are 13 ministries in Lumbini Province. It is being discussed to reduce the number.
