BARDIBAS/MAHOTTARI, Nov 14: Chhath, the festival wherein rising and setting Sun God is worshipped, has concluded today morning. 

The devotees undertaking fasting since the beginning day of the festival on Monday (Kartik Shukla Panchami) worshipped and offered arghya (offering of water) to the rising sun, concluding the four days festival. 

During the festival celebrated especially by the people from Mithila region, devotees worship and make offerings to the rising and setting sun wishing for prosperity, happiness and longevity of their family members. Various delicacies are prepared and served as prasad, and purity and cleanliness are maintained. 

Holy dip into rivers, fasting and abstaining from even drinking water are important part of the festival. With the conclusion of the festival, Prasad are served to the people including family members.
