KATHMANDU, March 5: Macau athlete Tan Hon Cheong was felicitated by Kathmandu International Taekwondo Championship committee in Lalitpur on Wednesday.

In a felicitation program held in Nepal Taekwondo Association’s premises in Satdobato, Cheong was honored by the vice-president of the association, Bhanu Chand and championship coordinator Kumar Lama Ghising.

Cheong was recognized for his long term contribution for the development of Nepal’s taekwondo. The president of Macau Constructions, Cheong has been helping Nepali athletes to participate in various programs and competitions in Macau as well.

Cheong expressed his happiness to tour Nepal for the occasion. Similarly, he also stated that Nepali athletes are hard-working and entrusted them to bring glory at world stage.
