KATHMANDU, July 30: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet against six employees, including Chief Administration Officer at Janakpur Sub-Metropolis, Arjun Prasad Subedi, at the Special Court.

The case was filed as they were found involved in financial embezzlement after a probe on the purchase of electrical goods in the previous fiscal year. The CIAA claimed that Chief Administration Officer Undersecretary Subedi, another Undersecretary Madan Ghimire, Section Officer Lalankumar Lal Karna, Accountant Dinesh Chaudhary and nayab subba Abdul Jabbar embezzled Rs 1.1 million rupees in the purchase.

Similarly, proprietor of Satya Enterprises, Manish Kumar Mishra, has also named in the charge sheet, said CIAA Spokesperson, Pradip Kumar Koirala. Moreover, the CIAA filed a case at the Special Court against engineer Bakhtar Mohammad working at Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office, Syangja. He is accused of taking Rs 400 thousand as bribe from the service seeker.
