Speaking at a press meet organized by the Nepali Congress, Panchthar at Phidim on Monday, leader Koirala accused the UCPN (Maoist) and the Madhesi parties of planning to foil their own proposal of forming a CJ-led election government. "The UCPN (Maoist) and the Madesh-centric parties are afraid that they will be exposed in the upcoming Constituent Assembly election", he said.
The incumbent government still wants to avert CA election even after announcing it twice, the Congress President said, while also accusing the UCPN (Maoist) –led government of practicing totalitarianism under different pretentions.
Stating the possibility of formation of an election government was becoming slim, leader Koirala argued that there was no alternative to an agitation under the leadership of Congress to protect the democratic achievements.
He said the Congress would never forget rule of law, democratic norms and values, press freedom and human rights and always remain committed towards these matters.
