KATHMANDU, May 7: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday to brief the latter about the preparations made for the upcoming May 14 local-level election.
During the meeting that took place at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar, the CEC apprised the Prime Minister that election officers have already reached at their assigned stations along with all materials required for voting.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister reiterated the government commitment to playing any sort of role to hold the election without any fear and in a free, impartial and peaceful atmosphere, according to CEC Dr Yadav.
The Prime Minister also thanked the EC for managerial preparations being made by it for the election. RSS
