KATHMANDU, May 3: The Constitutional Council (CC) has recommended the name of Tanka Mani Sharma as the Chief of the Office of Auditor General (OAG).
The meeting of the CC held at the Singhadurbar on Wednesday afternoon decided to recommend the name of Sharma for the post, said Speaker Onsari Gharti, after the meeting.
Sharma will work as the OAG head after the Parliamentary Special Hearing Committee endorses the recommendation. Sharma is currently Secretary at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, main opposition party CPN-UML chairperson KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Gharti, deputy Speaker Ganga Prasad Yadav and Acting Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli were present at the meeting.
