KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Canadian Senate Speaker George J. Furey is arriving in Kathmandu on Monday on a two-day visit to Nepal.
During his stay, the Canadian Speaker is scheduled to call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel and National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timalsina. Furey is visiting the National Assembly hall today itself.
Nepal's Ambassador to Canada Bhrigu Dhungana held a meeting with Canadian Speaker in Ottawa, Canada last week.
Likewise, the Canadian delegation is holding meeting with Nepal-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group. Apart from holding official meetings, the delegation is visiting Patan Durbar Square. Concluding the visit, the delegation is returning home on Tuesday afternoon.
