KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has selected 29 players for the first phase of ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers. The CAN announced the names including Puja Mahto and Sony Pakhrin, who have already played for the Nepal Women’s senior team, on Wednesday.


According to the CAN, the selection was based on their performances in the “Mayadevi Cup” held in Chitwan and the “Mayor Cup” held in Kohalpur.

The team includes Sony Pakhrin, Aeli Yadav, Kiran Kumari Kuwar, Trishna Bik, Manisha Upadhyay, Riya Sharma, Karishma Gurung, Pooja Saud, Bipasha Shahi, Sana Pravin, and Pratima Sah.


Additionally, Sneha Mahara, Sabitra Dhami, Anu Kadayat, Manisha Bohora, Karishma Thapa, Rabina Saud, and Sushmita Bhusal have also been selected.


The first phase team also includes Alisha Kumari Yadav, Bhawani Kamati, Aarati Mahato, Puja Mahato, Kusham Godar, Simana KC, Jyotsnika Marasani, Niru GT, Serina Thapa, Rachana Chaudhary, and Ashma Pulami Magar.
