CAN announces Nepali team for ACC One Day Asia Cup Cricket

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 17-member Nepali national team for the ACC One Day Asia Cup Cricket to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka on Monday. The team will be led by Rohit Paudel.

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 17-member Nepali national team for the ACC One Day Asia Cup Cricket to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka on Monday. The team will be led by Rohit Paudel.


The Asia Cup which is scheduled from August 30 to September 17 will be hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. In Group A, India, Pakistan, and Nepal are the participants. Nepal will kick off their campaign against Pakistan in Multan on August 30. The second match will be held against India in Kandy, Sri Lanka, on September 4. Group 'B' comprises Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.

The Nepali team includes Rohit Poudel (captain), Kushal Bhurtel, Sandeep Lamichhane, Karan KC, Lalit Rajbanshi, Bhim Sharki, Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airi and Gulsan Jha, Arif Sheikh, Asif Sheikh, Sompal Kami, Pratis GC, Kishor Mahato, Sandeep Jora, Arjun Saud and Shyam Dhakal.
