BHAKTAPUR, Nov 7: Senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) and former Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said the campaign of ‘Happy Nepali, Prosperous Nepal’ would be successful. 

He said this while addressing a greetings exchange and tea programme organized by Surya Nagar Tol Bikas Samaj at Surya Binayak municipality-5 today. The programme was organized marking the Deepawali, Nepal Sambat New Year 1139 and Chhath festivals. 

He said Nepal’s journey towards prosperity has already started. Senior leader of the ruling party said all the roads in the Kathmandu valley including those in Shankarapur municipality, Koteshwar and Kageshwari Manohara, among others would be asphalted in the next two years. 

Former Prime Minister Nepal said the task of black topping the roads was delayed due to the delay by the construction entrepreneurs and it would not repeat this time. 

Saying that the democratic republic with social justice and inclusive of all the castes and ethnicities, linguistic communities, religions has been established, the CPN senior leader said the country’s development and prosperity would now pick up momentum as the CPN has government with two-thirds majority. 

Lawmaker Mahesh Basnet stated that those elements trying to stop Bhaktapur’s development would be defeated and the district would see rapid development in the next four years. Province-3 lawmaker Sashi Jung Thapa said now the people need not worry about the country’s development.
