Calibration flight starts at Pokhara International Airport from today

POKHARA, Nov 21: The calibration flight is starting at the Pokhara Regional International Airport from today (Monday) to test the capability of the connecting devices.


For this purpose, Aero Thai's ship reached Pokhara on Saturday itself.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has approved the schedule for mechanical test flight of Pokhara Regional International Airport from November 21 to November 21.


The aircraft that arrived for the calibration flight will test all the equipment connected to the Pokhara Regional International Airport. The communication equipment is still being tested. In particular, the Instrument Landing System (ILS) will be tested during the calibration flight. This technology is useful during take-offs and landings. 


During the period of calibration flight, regular flights will be operated before 10 am and from 1pm to 2:30 pm. Most of the flights will take place from half past five till late in the evening after the calibration flights are over.
