Cabinet to send 11-member delegation to UNGA

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: A delegation of altogether 11 Nepali members led by Home Minister Bhim Rawal will participate in the 65th General Convention of the United Nations, a cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided.



According to Minister for Education Sarbendra Nath Shukla, a six-member delegation will be participating in the convention from Nepal while a separate five-member Nepali team will be participating from New York. "Today´s cabinet meeting decided to send an 11-member Nepali delegation to the UN´s General Convention," Shukla told journalists.[break]



Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission Jagadish Chandra Pokharel, a joint secretary and a deputy secretary from Ministry of Foreign Affairs will participate in the convention.



The delegates are expected to leave the country for the convention after two days, Shukla informed.
