KATHMANDU, Dec 6: The government has decided to set up the 'Prime Minister National Talent Award Fund'. The Cabinet meeting held recently decided to set up the fund to encourage the youths who make remarkable contribution to peace, good governance, innovation, scientific research, investigation and development sectors.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Spokesperson of the government, Gokul Prasad Baskota, shared on Thursday that the fund was set up with the amount Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli got with the recent award. Equal amount would be added to the fund from government side.
Govt withholds cabinet decisions, again
Saibu Residential Area of Bhaisepati in Lalipur will have the residences for VIPs as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and of House of Representatives and the ministers. The residences will be built in the 149 ropani of land allocated earlier for the residences of the lawmakers.
It will also include 14 buildings for the contact offices for chiefs and chief ministers of seven provinces.
Moreover, the government decided to construct 10 royal guest houses at Pulchowk where the ministers' quarters are located at present. If the land for this is insufficient, government land occupied by the National Library would be used, added Spokesperson Baskota.
The Ministry of Urban Development has been assigned to build a 15 member high dam for the construction of landfill site at Bancharedanda of Nuwakot.
