Cabinet allocates Rs 4.43 b for Pokhara drinking water project

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: The government has decided to approve Rs 2.12 billion in grant to be provided by Asian Development Bank (ADB).

A Cabinet meeting held in Singha Durbar on Thursday morning took a decision to this effect.

Similarly, the Cabinet meeting also decided to allocate Rs 4.430 billon for the drinking water project in Pokhara, Minster for Information and Communications and government spokesperson Surendra Karki told Republica Online.

Similarly, the Cabinet decided to allocate Rs 611.8 million for the maintenance of the Upper Trishuli damp that had been destroyed by the earthquake.

The meeting also decided to promote Lt. Col. Rabindra KC to the post of Colonel.

Likewise, the meeting also decided to hike the allowance of the agitating engineers deployed in the earthquake-hit districts by 75 percent.

According to Information and Communications Minister Karki, the allowance of those working in the headquarters has been hiked by 50 percent while those deployed outside the headquarters by 75 percent.
