KATHMANDU, April 25: It’s not new. Now that electronic and techno music mixed with some rapping graces the brand new list of songs every other week, but it’s amazing how similar they sound but still are distinctive in their own very way! Two weeks gone by and Pitbull is releasing a lot of new singles, all worth listening to and burning the dance floor with.

Out of the nine songs chosen for Top Spins this week, three of them feature the rapper and one single of his own. Read on to get updated with the latest releases![break]

Pitbull – Back in Time

It’s good news for the fans of the “Men in Black” films. Its third movie is on its way! The franchise has always had interesting soundtrack, and this time joining the musical contribution is Pitbull who must be the hottest thing at the moment, and there’ no doubt that his music is burning the dance floor all over Kathmandu!

The rapper who is offering the theme song titled “Back in Time,” says he’s happy to be part of the project and that he respects Will Smith a lot, especially with their similar musical backgrounds.

Jennifer Lopez, featuring Pitbull – Dance Again

The Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull collaboration “On the Floor” proved to be a huge hit, and now the dynamic duo has united once again for the single “Dance Again” which marks the third time team-up between them. The track really sets out to be the hottest dance tune of the season and is absolutely impressive and irresistible that you’ll want to dance over and over again.

Play N Skillz, featuring Pitbull – Richest Man

It is Pitbull week and this time he’s being featured by the American Hip-Hop/Electronic duo hailing from Texas, Play N Skillz. Now, all the three songs mentioned above are definitely club songs and this one is no exception.

Sometimes we wonder how Pitbull would sound in a slow song. The Grammy Award winning duo is prepping for their new album titled “Alter Egos” slated for release this year. Off the set, the single is “Richest Man.”

In the beginning, it might sound like just another techno hip-hop track but you got to hang on and you’ll be impressed. There’s something very infectious about this track.

Bob Sinclar, featuring Pitbull, Dragonfly & Fatman Scoop - Rock the Boat

Bob Sinclair is almost invincible for most us for his remake of “Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)” and I bet your respect for him will grow even more once you hear the latest single from the French DJ’s new solo collection, “Disco Crash.”

It’s titled “Rock the Boat” and is one of many star-studded tracks found in the set. The song features Pitbull, once again, Dragonfly & Fatman Scoop.

Nicki Minaj, featuring Chris Brown – Right by My Side

Nicki Minaj is at the point in her career where she can release a puppy-love duet with Chris Brown that doesn’t even include rapping for the first two and half minutes and nobody thinks twice about it.

“Right by My Side” is the second official single off the album “Roman Reloaded,” and it certainly sounds like a big, catchy and cleanly produced number. But more than anything else, it sounds like a Rihanna song but it is music to the ears, for sure!

Kelly Clarkson – Dark Side

Over the years, Kelly Clarkson has morphed into different personalities, from America’s sweetheart to a slightly Goth to pop’s resident angry girl. Her previous albums define it all. And although the soon-to-turn-30 singer’s current disc has a clichéd title as “Stronger.”

it does contain heavy songs like “Dark Side.” It finds Clarkson feverishly emote about exposing one’s true, flawed self without actually revealing hers, dark side.

DYA – Don’t Know

Romanian teen Dya Prepelita has already scored European hits with the songs “Stay” and “Down the Earth.” Now she’s come up with the single “Don’t Know” which explores her vocal abilities. Like most teenagers, Dya “Don’t Know” much, but she sure knows how to sing beautifully and have fun!

Amanda Fondell – All This Way

“All This Way” was the single that was performed by the Swedish “Idol” 2011 winner Amanda Fondell, and three other contenders. But it was Fondell’s version that topped the chart in her native land and also managed to become the title track to her #1 debut album.

It is a song that will make you think and will mean different things to different people.

Daniel Powter – Cupid

“Bad Day” was the song that introduced us to Daniel Powter and since then, it’s become sort of his signature single. Now the Canadian singer is back after four years since his last record, that too with his fourth effort.

Titled “Turn on the Light,” it hoards the very sweet single called “Cupid,” and it’s not just the title but with lines like “You’re the Beatles to my Stones” and “you’re the yes in the world of no’s,” its entire lyrics can woo any girl. We suggest you sing the song if your girl isn’t very happy with you!
