Budget highlights

  • Encroached public land to be nationalized within fiscal year 2019/20

  • Tunnel in Tinkune-Koteshwar-Jadibuti, underpass in New Baneshwar and flyover in Tripureshwar to Maitighar

  • Rs 7.7 billion allocated for rail, metro rail and monorail 

  • Domestic airport to be built in Kavre district

  • Administrative centers of all local level to be connected with blacktopped roads within four years

  • 15% increment on public welfare advertisement fund

  • Health insurance coverage for those joining the govt’s health insurance scheme by 100%.

  • Girls studying in public schools to be provided sanitary pads for free
