KATHMANDU, May 12: Buddha Air is going to operate night flights from Sunday (May 15).
For the time being, night flights will be operated to Janakpur, Nepalgunj, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Bhadrapur and Simara. The flight will start at 8 PM.
According to Buddha Air, night flights would be very attractive for passengers who are busy with daily activities. The company believes that it will be easier, simpler and cheaper than the morning and afternoon flights.
The company said it has requested the provincial and local governments to facilitate public transport in night flight destinations. “Buddha Air believes that the movement of passengers will create employment at the local level and also play a role in revenue growth,” the company said.
Buddha Air, in coordination with Tootle, a ride sharing app, in Kathmandu, is also introducing attractive discount offers on taxis in line with the night flight plan, according to a press release issued by the airline company.
