Oricon announced that BTS’s tenth Japanese single, “Lights/Boy With Luv” had topped their weekly singles chart for the week of July 1 to July 7.
The group topped the chart by selling 621,000 units, and Oricon noted that BTS is now the first foreign (non-Japanese) artist to sell over 600,000 units in the first week of sales.
“Lights/Boy With Luv” has also now taken the top spot on Oricon’s daily singles chart for 6 days in a row. Previously, Oricon reported that it had taken “Lights/Boy With Luv” a single day to surpass the first week sales for their 2018 single “Fake Love/Airplane Pt. 2.”
BTS is currently on the Japan leg of their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour and will be heading to Shizuoka on July 13 and 14.
