Brian Lara says coming to Nepal

KATHMANDU May 15: Legendary West Indian batsman Brian Lara announced Wednesday that he is planning to visit Nepal this year.



The Trinidad and Tobago national, who played cricket for Wes Indies tweeted: “Up @ 3am in the morning going to read a little about Nepal, going there is on my bucket list. This year…” He has however not mentioned when he will visit Nepal. [break]



Earlier on May 5, encouraging Nepali cricket fans in an interaction on his Twitter on the eve of the ICC World Cricket League Division 3 final against Uganda, the West Indies cricket legend had said that he was a big fan of Nepal.



"All the best 2 Nepal in the finals may the best team win. I´m a big fan of urs n Uganda´s cricket," Lara had then tweeted on his Twitter account along with a picture with two Nepali fans in Bermuda.



Lara, a left-handed batsman, who is widely regarded as one of the finest batsmen of all time, holds several records including the highest individual score in a test innings after scoring 400 not out against England in 2004.
