BREAKING NEWS: 4 helicopters in Kavre and 3 in Nepalthok, Sindhuli make emergency landing

KATHMANDU, Sept 17: Four helicopters in Kavre and three in Nepalthok, Sindhuli have made emergency landings due to poor weather.

According to Kavre District Police, the emergency landings were made in Panchkhal-2, Jorpati and in Harshe. Two helicopters of Manang Air were carrying 5 foreigners each, Simrik Air was carrying 5 foreigners, Kailash Air was carrying 2 foreigners.

Similarly, three helicopters flying from Lukla to Kathmandu have made emergency landings in Sindhuli Nepalthok. According to officials, the choppers had flown to Lukla from Kathmandu to rescue stranded foreign trekkers at Lukla earlier this morning. The choppers made emergency landings in the aforementioned locations due to zero-visibility with dense fog. It is learnt that at least 250 foreign tourists are still languishing in Luka due to poor weather.
