BP, Araniko highways resume

BANEPA, July 12: The Araniko and BP highways that were disrupted following the floods and landslips have resumed after clearing the obstructions early this afternoon. 

The roads along the highways were obstructed in several locations due to the flooding and mudslides triggered by monsoon downpour since Wednesday. 

Vehicular movement on the Araniko and BP highways has resumed as the roads that were obstructed due to the mudslide and inundation have come into operation, according to Chief of District Police Office, Kavre, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rabiraj Khadka. 

Likewise, two workers stranded in Roshi Khola (river) while working for drinking water supplies in Namobuddha Municipality-6 were rescued in a helicopter of Nepal Army, police said.
