Book on Narayanhiti hits market

KATHMANDU, Aug 18  A book titled 'Narayanhiti Narayansthan' was released amid a function in the capital on Saturday. The book penned by Dr Shobha Dhungana was released by historian Jagman Gurung and poet Shyamdas Baishnav. 

Introduction to origin and development of Baishnav religion, historical importance and features of Narayansthan, arts and architecture, historical aspects of Narayanhitidhara, among other aspects along with paintings are included in the book. 

Releasing the book, historian and culture expert Gurung said Nepal is an important destination for religious tourists that are reflected in the book as well. 

Similarly, Dr Bina Poudyal while commenting the book said the book was based on the historical and cultural realities. The book edited by journalist Pradyumna Mishra is sold for Rs 50.
