BIRATNAGAR, Jan 4: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said those accused of purchasing wide-body aircraft must be brought to book as per the law.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar airport on Friday, NC President Deuba, however, made it clear that he was not aware that the parliamentary subcommittee on the investigation of wide-body aircraft purchase recommended for action against any minister.

He further said he had not studied the report the subcommittee prepared, so could not speak a lot on it.

Deuba also talked about Nirmala’s rape and murder case saying it was the weakness of Home Ministry to not arrest those involved in rape and murder of Nirmala Pant for a long time.

He accused the government of condoning the culprits by destroying evidences on Nirmala’s murder case. Nepali Congress continuously makes it an agenda till the justice is catered to Nirmala’s family, he warned.

In response to a question, the NC President who is also the former Prime Minister said he was not aware of the issues as early general convention of the party.

The people in the local and province levels were deprived of their rights because of the lack of government employees. The government employees could be encouraged with incentives, he suggested.
