JHAPA, Nov 28: An improvised explosive device went off near the house of Nepali Congress leader and candidate of Jhapa-3 for elections to House of Representatives Krishna Prasad Sitaula in Chandragadhi, Jhapa. 

The District Police Office, Jhapa, said the IED exploded at around 12:45 last night. 

Spokesperson of Jhapa District Police Office Jitendra Kumar Basnet said no human casualty was reported adding that a person was arrested after the incident. RSS
