Bomb goes off in Rautahat, 8 injured, 6 critically

RAUTAHAT, Nov 18: A bomb has gone off in district on Saturday that has injured eight people including a child.


An unidentified group has blasted the bomb targeting a meeting of Left alliance that was ongoing near Radha Krishna temple in Chandrapur Municipality-5

According to DSP Ram Kumar Dani, among the injured, six are in serious condition and have been referred to Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur for further treatment.  Police have confirmed the injured as Sarita Rai and her seven years old son Jaivik Rai, Laxmi Rai, Dil Maya Rai, Ratna BK, Kunta Khatri, Gopal BK and Yamuna Kafle among others.


BK and Kafle are getting treatment in a local health center and are in normal condition. Police have started an investigation of the incident.
