DHADING, Nov 20: A socket bomb was found on the premises of the District Election Office (DEO), Dhading on Sunday.
DSP Dhruba Raj Raut of the District Police Office, Dhading informed that the bomb was found wrapped in a bag at the gate of the DEO. Security personnel found the bomb while they were heading toward polling stations to deliver ballot boxes for the parliamentary and provincial elections slated for November 26. A team of Nepal Police defused the bomb later.
With this, the DPO, Dhading has tightened security for the safety of voters. A large number of security personnel have been deployed in the northern parts of the district and along the highway to avoid any kind of activities that would disrupt the polls.
