KAPILVASTU, Dec 2: The house of Dinesh Jayaswal, candidate to the State Assembly (1) in constituency 1 of Kapilvastu was hit by a bomb blast last night. Jayaswal belongs to the Federal Democratic National Forum (Tharuhat) party. 

An unidentified group of people set off two Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the house located at Koriya chowk of Banganga municipality-10. The IED hurled at the house tore off the corrugated roof, according to Jayaswal's elder brother Shiva Gulam Kalawar. The incident took place at around 1:00 am when three to four persons barged into home and vandalized it, and set off the IEDs before leaving. 

An investigation has been launched into the incident, DSP Prahlad Adhikari at the District Police Office, Kapilvastu said. 

Earlier on Friday noon, an IED was blasted targeting Naya Shakti Nepal party House of Representatives candidate in constituency 3. The blast took place at Bhagwanpur in Shivaraj municipality-9.(RSS)
