Bomb attacker arrested after four years on the run

LAHAN, July 4: A person who had been on the run for the past four years after setting off an improvised pressure cooker bomb within the District Development Committee's compound was arrested on Sunday evening. 

A police team from District Police Office, Siraha responded to a special tip off to arrest Bilachyan Yadav, 26, of Hakpara VDC – 6 on charges of detonating a bomb and possessing lethal arms and ammunition. 

Yadav had been affiliated to the then Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Rajan Group) and set off the bomb within the compound in 2011, according to District Police Office, Siraha's Spokesperson DSP Eknarayan Koirala. Yadav was arrested while hiding in his own house. 

Court order to remand sweet-maker 

Meanwhile, District Court Siraha has issued an order to remand Chande Sah aka Chandreshwor of Gol Bazaar Municipality – 5 in custody for investigation. 

Sah a confectionery manufacturer is accused of raping a local 16-year-old girl on April 27. He was sent to Siraha District Prison on Sunday evening for investigation. RSS
