KATHMANDU, Jan 17: International bodybuilding star Roelly Winklaar, also known as ‘The Beast’, is arriving in Nepal in mid-February. Winklaar’s visit is managed by International Federation of Body Building (IFBB) League Nepal.
IFBB League Nepal is organizing the IFBB Professional League Nepal Body Building Championship on February 15 and 16 at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
The tournament is regarded as a highly prestigious event in Nepali sports. Winklaar is coming to Nepal as a ‘guest poser’ for the tournament.
Winklaar, 41, is the ‘Arnold Classic’ champion of 2018.
Born in the Netherlands, he now lives in the United States. The 130-kg bodybuilder is also known as the ‘Samurai’.
He will be arriving in Nepal on February 14. He will stay here for four days.
“A lot of bodybuilding stars will come to Nepal for the tournament,” IFBB League President Sanu Gurung said.
“We believe that Winklaar’s arrival to our country will turn the investors’ focus to Nepal. It will also be helpful to boost tourism in the country.”
