POKHARA, Aug 11: Police on Thursday morning recovered bodies of the two youths who had gone missing when their boat capsized in Fewa Lake four days ago.

“After four days of relentless search, we finally found their bodies floating about 300 meters south from the incident site,” said police Inspector Mohanmani Adhikari.

The two youths, Pratik Shrestha, 19, of Chakrapath and Alan KC, 23, of Basundhara, Kathmandu, had gone missing after their boat overturned in the middle of the lake on Monday evening. Eight passengers were on board, out of which six of them were rescued. Shrestha and KC were not wearing life jackets, according to eyewitnesses.

The bodies of the deceased have been kept at Gandaki Zonal Hospital for post-mortem. “The bodies would be handed over their respective families after the post-mortem,” said Inspector Adhikari. Relatives of the deceased are already in Pokhara.
