PALPA, Aug 5: The bodies of two people who had gone missing after their vehicle veered off the road yesterday have been recovered.

The deceased, Bibek Paudel, 25 and driver Tanka, 36 are from Gansaal, Tansen Municipality-10, Police Inspector Amrit Bhandari of District Police Office, Palpa said. Two people are dead in a hilux accident in Dhustung, Thumure, Ribdikot Rural Muncipality-6. The accident occurred when the hilux, Ba 1 Cha 8970 was coming from Deurali to Tansen.

The pick-up truck fell 100 meters off the road. The rescue operation was delayed due to difficult landscape according to Police. The bodies of deceased were recovered from the site on Sunday morning with the joint cooperation of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Civil Police and locals. Police have assumed the accident occurred due to slippery and weak road side.
