BNP offers sorrow over death of people including Minister Adhikari in chopper crash

KATHMANDU, Feb 28 : Bibeksheel Nepali Party (BNP) offered its deepest sorrow over the Taplejung helicopter crash in which all onboard seven people including Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari were killed.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28 : Bibeksheel Nepali Party (BNP) offered its deepest sorrow over the Taplejung helicopter crash in which all onboard seven people including Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari were killed. 


The BNP is saddened by the sad news, wishes for eternal peace of the departed souls and extends condolence to the bereaved family and relatives, read a concordance message issued by the party's spokesperson Milan Pandey.

The party also demanded that the government takes serious steps to make aviation safe taking into account frequent air accidents lately. 


The helicopter of Air Dynasty crashed at Darebhir of Taplejung district at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, killing all on board including pilot Prabhakar KC. Other dead include Managing Director of Yeti Airlines, Aang Tshiring Sherpa, Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation Authority Nepal, Birendra Prasad Shrestha and Director Dhruba Bhochhibhoya, Undersecretary of the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Yubraj Dahal and security guard of Minister Adhikari. 


Adhikari and his team, who travelled on Wednesday morning to carry out a feasibility study of an airstrip in Chuhandanda in neighbouring Tehrathum district, were returning to Kathmandu after worshipping at Pathibhara Temple when the helicopter crashed into a cliff.  RSS
