Blind cricket begins today

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Cricket Association of Blind, Nepal is organizing men's Blind Cricket Tournament 2016 at Pulchowk Engineering College Ground in Lalitpur from Tuesday.

The four-day event to be held in T20 format will see participation of three teams - Annapurna, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri. Meanwhile, the tournament will also serve as selection to pick 14 players for Blind Cricket World Cup to be held in India in January 2017. Australian Embassy has provided financial support to run the tournament. 

Angels' Heart, HHCA win
 Host Angels' Heart and HHCA registered wins in girls' basketball on Monday in the Sixth Angels' Heart Sports Festival held in the capital. Angels' Heart overcame Vidya Kunja 10-6 riding on four points each from Manisha Gurung and Riya Pun.

Similarly, Anita Sunuwar scored eight points for HHCA as it overcame St Xavier 27-19. In the match played at the host's court in Manamaiju, HHCA also recorded win in senior boys' section defeating Kathmandu Vidya Kunja 39-28.

The other matches saw, TIA and SEB record wins in the same category. In football event played under the festival, Reed Model School edged past Srijana Gyan Sagar 2-0 and Manjari beat Times School 3-0.
