ITAHARI, Dec 25: With the winter season in full swing, warm blankets and garment were distributed among the elderly citizens, women, orphans and the hapless and homeless people taking shelter at different centers here on Saturday. 

The volunteers lead by Laxmi Sijapati and Nirmaya BK distributed blankets to the needy at a program held at Chaata Chowk of Dharan Sub Metropolis. The blankets were distributed among women, children, senior citizens and the orphans of 27 wards of the sub metropolis. 

The Rotoract Club of Dharan also distributed warm clothes and blankets to the differently abled, incapacitated along with women and children living at the rehabilitation centre located at the Chaata Chowk. 

The youths affiliated with the club handed over shirts, pants, hats, sweater, socks, shoes, jackets and 'kurta salwar and sari' to 23 women and children at the rehab. 

Club member, Binod Mahato, distributed the warm clothes to the children and women, and expressed joy at being able to support them. RSS
