RAJBIRAJ, Jan 10 : The local administration has distributed blankets to the cold wave affected people in Saptari district. Normal life in Tarai districts including Saptari has been adversely affected due to cold for the past one week.
The District Administration Office today informed that the local administration started distributing blankets and relief materials to save people from cold after 20 people including two children died from cold-related causes in the district.
A team formed under leadership of Chief District Officer Bhagirath Pandey with the help of Red Cross distributed blankest to 200 households of poor and Dalit community of Hanumannagar Kankalani municipality, Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality and Mahadeva rural municipality, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dhruba Kumar Shrestha.
