BIZ BRIEFS: Jagdamba's promotional scheme concludes

KATHMANDU: Jagdamba Cement´s promotional scheme -- Jagdamba Cement Upahar Bishesh, Danga Mrs -- has concluded. According to a press statement, customers, under the scheme, had the opportunity to win diamond necklace, gold coin, Konka 32-inch LED TV, Konka 190-liter refrigerator, Konka washing machine, silver coins, mobile sets, track suits, helmets, wrist watches, and cash prizes. Jagdamba Cement produces different brands of cement like Jagdamba Cement, Force Cement, Ultra Cement and Ultra Premium OPC Cement.



Kulekhani II resumption uncertain

MAKWANPUR:  The resumption of Kulekhani-II Hydropower project at Bhainse VDC-1 in Makawanpur is likely to take more time.  Kulekhani officials had assured that the plant would resume electricity generation within 10 days of the fire incident. The 32 megawatts Kulekhani has halted power generation for the last several weeks as two transformers of its three transformers were damaged in a fire that broke out on April 16. According to officials, it would take about a month to repair the damaged transformers. “It may take another three weeks to repair the transformer,” said engineer Ramesh Tiwari.
