Biswokarma editor-in-chief of Republica, Nepal at Nagarik

KATHMANDU, May 18: Nepal Republic Media has appointed Kosmos Biswokarma and Kishor Nepal as editors-in-chief of Republica and Nagarik respectively.



Former news chief of The Kathmandu Post and The Himalayan Times, Biswokarma was recently editor of Face-to-Face, a magazine specializing in environmental issues. Previously, he worked at Nepal Magazine as an assistant editor. Later on, he also worked as spokesperson at the United Nations Mission in Nepal.



Similarly, Nepal was recently the editor of Sukrabar, a weekly entertainment magazine of Nepal Republic Media. Former president of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists, Nepal was previously at differnt times editor of Naya Sadak, Yo Sata, Kantipur Saptahik and Nepal Magazine. In addition, he was also chairman of Gorkhapatra Corporation and Nepal Television.



Nepal Republic Media bid farewell to outgoing Editors-in-Chief of Republica and Nagarik Ameet Dhakal and Narayan Wagle respectively amidst a function at the publication´s office at Sundhara on Friday.



Speaking at the function, Managing Director of Nepal Republica Media Binod Raj Gyawali expressed his sincere gratitude to the outgoing editors-in-chief for their contribution in establishing Republica and Nagarik as popular media. Director Shova Gyawali was also present at the function.
