‘Bishnumati corridor will lessen traffic congestion on ring-road’

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Pradeep Poudel has said that construction of a corridor along the Bishnumati river would lessen traffic congestion in the ring-road area.


Leader Poudel made the remarks while laying the foundation stone for Bishnumati corridor at Budhanilkantha Municipality-4 on Monday.


The newly-elected member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Kathmandu constituency-5, Poudel said that the country's politics requires winning the faith and trust of people.

He further said no one wants to join politics if the leaders do not implement their commitment made before the people and there would be no situation to respect the leaders by the society if development activities do not take place.


Leader Poudel expressed his commitment to forward development activities based on priority by making the list of activities to be carried out.


Saying that people have been facing problem in their movement as different road sections have been left unmanaged for laying pipe for Melamchi drinking water and to plant electric cable underground. 


He further said he has already started efforts to fulfill commitments that he made before the people during the election.
