BIRTAMOD, April 2: Birta Jaycees has decided to honour Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) and Kunjana Ghimire (Suntali) with Outstanding Citizen Award- 2073 BS. The Birta Jaycees has also started collecting donation to help the Campaign launched by Dhurmus and Sutantali. 

The Birta Jaycees decided to honour them for their support in social activities including construction of houses to earthquake-victims. Dhurmus and Suntali would be honoured at a special programme organised at Birtamod on April 16. Coordinator of the Organising Committee, Binod Basnet, said that one million rupees would be handed over to Dhurmus-Suntali to support their campaign. 

The Birta Jaycees, established in 1981, honours a Jhapali folk every year since 2052 BS for his/her remarkable contribution to the country. Sitaram Kattel is a permanent resident of Gauradaha in Jhapa. RSS
