MORANG, July 26: Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister Dilendra Prasad Badu has said that the Biratnagar Jute Mill at Rani, Biratnagar, will be re-operated.
Talking to media persons at the Biratnagar Airport today, Minister Badu said that regarding the operation of Biratnagar Jute Mill, necessary discussions will be held with entrepreneurs and businessmen of the private sector and the method of operation will be prepared.
Minister Badu said that a decision will be taken after necessary consultation regarding how to operate the ailing factories like Janakpur Cigarette Factory and Hetauda Garment Industry in the country.
Minister Badu proposed reducing the country's trade deficit by substituting imports with the help of the private sector to increase production and create jobs. In response to a question, he said that the private sector will resolve the grievances regarding tax hike in the budget.
Minister Badu said that he will proceed with necessary discussions on what kind of incentives should be provided to the entrepreneurs for the private sector industry to operate at full capacity.
