GORKHA, March 23: Spokesperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Narayan Kaji Shrestha said the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led party itself was not banned but its anti-constitutional activities are obviously under purview.
Talking to journalists in Gorkha today, leader Shrestha clarified the government has called the Biplav-led Communist Party of Nepal for talks. “Containing anti-constitutional activities is the prime responsibility of the government.” Shrestha added.
He further said the goal of the Biplav’s party may be political but its current activities are apparently not political.
Biplav's activities have created obstacles in preparing the foundation for socialism therefore such activities should be checked, Shrestha noted.
