Constitution itself has guided the foreign policy: Minister Gyawali
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Gyawali, has said that the constitution of Nepal itself has guided the foreign policy of the country.

Responding queries raised by lawmakers during the discussion on Appropriation Bill in today's meeting of the HoR, Minister Gyawali said that Nepal has adopted independent and balanced foreign policy.

He said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli recently visited neighbouring countries—India and China -- on the basis of mutual welfare and friendly relations, adding that agreements signed during the visit have been brought into implementation.

Clarifying that the government was committed to maintaining border security of Nepal, the Foreign Minister said that repair and maintenance of border pillars were underway.

He further said that economic diplomacy would be made further broader, adding that prosperity could be achieved through economic diplomacy.
The Foreign Minister said there was a policy to mobilize Nepali ambassadors in economic diplomacy.
