KATHMANDU, April 26: Bibeksheel Sajha Party has issued a circular asking its members to follow public health standards in the view of increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.
The party has directed all its committees to not hold any program with more than 25 participants starting April 25. In addition, it has requested to strictly adhere to all the health standards, including regularly wearing masks, maintaining physical distance and washing hands.
Issuing the circular, the party said that the previously announced ceremonies of the party and regular meetings of the committees will be virtually. “The health condition of the subordinate committee and its members should be updated and the committee should be informed,” it read.
It has asked its associates to treat infected people and their families sympathetically and help them with available resources and capacity. All the affiliated organizations and party committees have been directed to take spontaneous leadership to conduct public awareness programs, donate blood, donate plasma to the infected, facilitate the provision of essential goods/ services including ambulance.
The party has urged its members to make buildings, vehicles, communication equipment or any other materials available if required or if the government or the local level requests.
“Cautious participation in the isolation centers and quarantines near you as a party member and as a responsible citizen is encouraged,” the circular read.
It has requested to mobilize financial resources from the available funds and open calls from the party level committee or its affiliated organizations to help the party members, their families and the general public to meet the basic necessities including daily food, health care and other necessities.
As per the circular, all members have been encouraged to conduct campaigns to help the citizens even in the event of a possible shutdown and to actively share the party's activities digitally on social media.
