KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Bhumre Secondary School of Syangja and Shree Durga Secondary School of Rautahat are set to vie in the Coca-Cola Cup Inter-School National Football Tournament’s girls final on Thursday.
To secure its berth in the summit clash, Bhumre recorded 2-0 win over Setidevi Sharda Secondary School of Sindhupalchowk in the first semifinal match at ANFA Complex on Wednesday.
In other semifinal match, Shree Durga produced hard fought 1-0 victory over Kailali’s Shree Shankar Saraswoti School 1-0.
In the first semifinal encounter of the day, Bhumre took early lead in ninth minute with Setidevi’s Ashma Shrestha’s own goal. Sunita Kumal netted second goal of the match in 48th minute to give her team Bhumre a comfortable victory over Setidevi.
Similarly, Shree Durga cruised into the final with Nikita Thoker scoring only goal of the match.
The boys’ section final also will be played on Thursday with Bal Srijanalaya School of Kathmandu and Everest Secondary Academy of Sarlahi battling for the trophy at the ANFA Complex.
