Bhatbhateni owner Min Bahadur Gurung donates over Rs 110 million for flood victims

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Min Bahadur Gurung, chairman of Bhatbhateni Supermarket, has pledged Rs 111.11 million in aid for the victims of recent floods. The financial assistance, intended for the rescue and relief efforts, will be directed to the government's relief fund through Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Min Bahadur Gurung, chairman of Bhatbhateni Supermarket, has pledged Rs 111.11 million in aid for the victims of recent floods. The financial assistance, intended for the rescue and relief efforts, will be directed to the government's relief fund through Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.


Gurung highlighted that the incessant rainfall has displaced thousands of citizens, prompting him to contribute toward the government's relief efforts. He said, "I have committed an aid of Rs 111.11 million for flood victims." The donation will be transferred to the government, confirmed Panu Paudel, COO of Bhatbhateni.

According to official reports, the recent downpour has claimed the lives of 193 people, with 35 still missing. Gurung emphasized that it is the responsibility of citizens to support the country in times of crisis.
