CHITWAN, May 16: The mayoral candidate of the ruling five-party alliance Renu Dahal is leading the polls by just 14 votes in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. 


Of the total 6,477 votes counted so far, Dahal, who belongs to CPN (Maoist Center), has received 2,317 votes, followed by CPN-UML’s mayoral candidate Binod Subedi with 2,303 votes.

Similarly, independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has received 731 votes. Likewise, NC’s deputy mayoral candidate from the ruling coalition,Chitranesh Adhikari has received 2,552 votes, while RPP candidate Himal Gurung has received 1,849 votes so far.
