BHARATPUR, Aug 11: BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Bharatpur, Chitwan, is set to extend its services across all provinces in Nepal starting mid-August. As part of a federal government initiative, the hospital will establish cancer treatment rooms with at least five beds in government hospitals within each province.
Dr Shivaji Paudel, the hospital’s executive director, highlighted the significance of this expansion. "Expanding our services is crucial for providing comprehensive cancer care across the country,” he said.

The new services will be launched in Dhankuta (Koshi Province), Janakpur (Madhesh), Damauli (Gandaki), Dang (Lumbini), Surkhet (Karnali), and Dhangadhi (Sudurpaschim Province). Each center will have a team of specialist doctors stationed for one week every month, ensuring consistent and specialized care.
These expanded services will be delivered in collaboration with local health institutions throughout the provinces.
