The 15-bed hospital is accused of admitting patients more than its actual capacity. According to a source, a total of 28 Covid-19 patients were admitted to the hospital on Thursday even as it was already running short of medical oxygen since the afternoon. In the night, visitors of ICU patients and those on the ventilator support were asked to shift their patients to somewhere else.
A 45-year-old male of Kamalbinayak of Bhaktapur who was on ventilator support died allegedly due to the lack of oxygen supply. Similarly, a 60-year-old male from Pokhara breathed his last while being rushed to Jawalakhel-based Alka Hospital.
Relatives of the deceased have alleged that the patient was taken out of ICU forcefully and they were asked to shift him to other hospital without referral documents.
