Podcasts are quite the rage. From stand up comedy to documentaries, there are just so many different and interesting podcasts that you can tune into and enjoy. There’s even a show recorded inside a prison, if you are curious enough to know what goes on inside the walls of one. So we thought why not take advantage of this world of wealth and tune into some health and fitness podcasts that could help us better our lifestyle. And we got searching. Here are the top five most popular, informative, and productive health and fitness podcasts you need to start listening to, to reshape your lifestyle to become a healthier and fitter version of yourself.

Food Psych Podcast
Launched in 2013, Food Psych is a podcast that is aired weekly that helps you understand food and how it affects your body. Dietician Christy Harrison hosts the podcast. She talks about nutrition, congenital eating, body positivity and shaming, weight, eating disorder, diets and covers almost all similar topics related to health and fitness. Each week she has a new guest with whom she discusses the topic or the theme of the episode. This podcast, with over 130 episodes of approximately 90 minutes each, has been named one of iTunes’ top health podcast and world’s number one anti-diet podcast. Harrison speaks against restrictive dietary trends and habits and actively encourages body acceptance and teaches very useful lessons on nutrition and body confidence. This is a must listen for all those who want to make peace with their bodies, and with food.

20 Minute Fitness
This is a relatively new podcast that debuted its first episode early November last year and has little more than 30 episodes. You will get all the information about the latest trends, revolutions and studies on fitness, workouts, and exercises on this podcast. True to its name, all the episodes are about 20 minutes long (give or take a few minutes) and it is updated with a new episode every week. If you have a hectic work schedule and don’t have hours to devote to learning everything new that comes up in the fitness world but still want to, then this should be your one and only go to podcast for condensed but informative details. It brings to you the best and most important advice and updates on everything related to health and fitness.

Food Heaven Made Easy Podcast
New Yorkers, best friends, and registered dieticians, Jess and Wendy host the Food Heaven Made Easy Podcast. A new episode is aired every single Wednesday. They cover a range of topics under health and nutrition but their discussions are primarily on nutrition since that is their forte; both of them have a master’s degree in nutrition. Their conversations are witty, interesting, and informative and it’s hard not to like their infectious and charismatic spirits. Their podcast is also really helpful if you need an expert’s view on all the detox, dieting, and fitness trends that go viral on social media. They also have guests featured on their podcast every now and then whose brains they pick to help you cultivate a better and healthier lifestyle. The best thing is that, with this podcast, you can also learn how to make sustainable meal plans, which for most of us can be of great help.

He has more than 15 years of experience in this sector and already worked as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, group trainer, educator, and fitness manager. Accompanied by Toni Marinucci’s (who holds a master’s degree on nutrition and dietetics) extensive knowledge on nutrition and diet and Justin Gilds’ (who is a fitness enthusiast, practitioner of a number of martial arts including judo, brazilian jiu jitsu and kickboxing, a musician, music educator and music producer) amusing commentary, The GymWits is a perfect blend of information and entertainment. It is great for widening your knowledge on topics under food, health, fitness and the human body in general. The GymWits aims to do away with myths and misconceptions regarding fitness and make the right information accessible to everyone. So, they have combined research with extensive information and present that with a dash of humor to boot, making listening to this podcast extremely enlightening and uplifting.
